I'm looking for actual weight of the Super T. I recently put one on my bike but didn't have a scale around to weigh it; all I can say is its where the majority of the bike's weight is now and climbing has become a real chore.
I know 'zoke list it at 6.8lbs but is that with:

-no oil
-no oil and springs

cuz it feels much heavier...how does the 888 series compare in weight?

thanks,

-Sp

Not sure about the exact weight, but the 888 is a bit heavier. It is taller as well, so if you thought that getting a 888 would help you on the climbs forget it, it will chopper your ride out.

Lets be serious though, a double crown fork is not really made for climbing, but IF the reason I was getting a double crown fork for climbing i would probably go with the Manitou slider plus (with spv) and it is lighter then the SuperT

:D

The first thing I did when I recieved my '04 T was weigh it on a pretty good scale. It was a little over 7 pounds complete with springs, and direct connect stem, and the usual low oil level marz. is famous for.

Super Ts are about 7.5lbs. 888s are about 7.5lbs. A few people that have weighed both have said the 888 was a hair lighter (go-ride.com).

Older 2002 Super Ts weighed out at almost exactly 6.8, my 2002 Jr was 6.60 when I weighed it.

7.5 for a 888? did it have the bolt on stem and axle attached? If so then wow, I did not realize it was that light.
