I have a K2 Tirade (first Full suspension bike).

I would like to replace the following on the bike:

Rear Shock
Crankset

I tried searching I haven't had any luck finding this info.

What size rear shock do I need?i2i length?

What size bottom bracket do I need?

Thanks again.

I have a Tirade and the shock is 7 inches on center I to I. Not sure on the bracket never had to change it. I'm going over the whole bike now so it is in pieces right now. If you need any measurements or pic's just let me know.

Thanks for the info all.....

So is it 7inch i2i or 7.5inch i2i?

I noticed on my rear shock it has a 650x2.35 Coil. Fox Vanilla R

Is this right for me size? I am about 200lbs geared up

Also, if replacing a rear shock......do I have some flexibility in picking out a length? Meaning if my bike came stock with s 7.5 inch i2i can I fit a 7.875 in there?

finally....can somone recommend a rear shock for this bike? I am running a 02 Z1 in the front.

What are the components on your bike s10gto?

Looking to lighten this thing up a bit.

Here is my setup:

Deore Disc Wheelset
Avid Mech. with 8inch rotors
Older XT crankset From 01-02 I believe
Easton EA50 Stem
Shimano DX Platform pedals
XTR Rear Derailleur
02 Z1 Marz Fork
Tires are continenral 2.30's These things feel heavy.

This is my primary bike.....my riding style ranges from XC to mellow trail stuff. I am riding downieville this weekend.

My specs say 7.5x2. I haven't heard of anyone running longer eye to eye's on this bike though it could be possible. We as a company would never recommend you run anything but the stock size shock. Running a longer eye to eye or a different stroke could result in frame to frame or wheel to frame contact and would void any warranty on the frame.

My rear shock is the one it came with. It is a Fox float R AVA. It works great once you get the air correct. I never hear of a 7 inch shock untill I measured this one the other day. I would think it would have measured 7.5. I put it end to end to a 7.5 tough shock and the fox is a 1/2 inch shorter. My K2 Tirade is a 5.0 and is mostly stock. I am in the process of replacing the 125mm vanilla R with a new 140mm vanilla RCL and FSA pro head set. The stock specs are,
