I'm thinking about getting a scream and i have an 01 super t with 6 inches. i would have to use it for a couple months before i could buy a new fork. on the banshee website it says only to use 7" to 12" forks. Do you think this would work?
thanks for all the help

of course it'll work fine, i'm not 100 percent familiar with super t but in other forks they pretty much remove a couple spacers and add a longer spring no? your fork will be the same height as if it where in the 7 inch space *i think so anyways ;p* you might even decide you like the way it rides with the 6 inch fork on it only one way to find out :) it takes like 20 min to install a fork throw it on there and see how it feels.
I've seen Scream's with singlecrown forks on them, it will work fine.

No you can't. Your bike will implode when you ride unless you have a fork with atleast 8" of travel, preferably a Monster. Don't risk your life and buy a bigger fork before you get your bike.

Don't think about it any more!!! If you want a frame that you'll never have to worry about again... a Scream is it!!!! I've had mine for 3 months now, (I have an '04 Super T on it), and I can't even tell you what the thing has done for my ridding...

Ya, a 6" fork is a little short for it, but it will work till you have the $ for an upgrade...

Hope that helps...

(Don't mind the bad form on the landing... there's a 90 degree left turn right after the landing...)
hey,I was also wonderin how much they bob.Ive heard that a 5th element can pretty much eliminate it but what about fox rc's,do they bob alot?
thanks,
ryan

I would say try to get one with a 5th... it has less bob than my '01 Tracer did and actually climbs better, (if you can overlook the fact that it's 50 lbs). The 5th is just a great shock seeing as how you can adjust it to your riding style. As far as a Scream with an RC.. it'll feel good freeriding an Dh, but it won't pedal as well and will be more prone to bottoming on hard hits...

I just saw an '03, 17inch built with a Jr T and pretty good parts on Ebay looking pretty new.. the guy had a starting bid of $2200, I don't think he had any takers...

If you have any other questions feel free to drop me a line and again I can't tell you how happy I am with mine!
