Strength:

Incredibly light and smooth, rated for 200# rider (which I am). Great for fast and smooth courses with lots of climbing yet strong enough for 100 mile races. Good acceleration/rigidity, even for the stronger rider. The thing I like the best about these wheels is that they are standard bladed spokes and nipples, not the proprietary spoke/nipple combo that is so prevalent right now.

Weakness:

Wheels are too light for some terrain and get deflected more easily than wheels in the 1450 to 1600g range.

One year down and many, many miles later the wheels are going strong. Price is seriously stupid, even on eBay, but like Keith B. used to say "Cheap, light weight, strong. Pick any two!"

Who should buy it? Terminal weight weenies or endurance riders/xc racers between 170 and 200# looking for a lightweight wheel that will last. This wheelset is for smooth riders who like to go super fast on xc singletrack/fire roads and want a wheel that is tough enough to handle the rough stuff*.

Who shouldn't? Anyone who finds themselves routinely replacing/repairing a 1600g+ wheel will not like how this wheelset rides.

*A word of warning for anyone considering any wheelset in this weight range: in technical/rocky terrain where body English is a must, the wheel will get deflected more easily than heavier wheels and the ride quality is comprommised. Compensating for these deflections tends to tense up the rider, and a tense rider is a beaten up rider.

Strength:

Light soaks up the vibrations....did I mention light?

Weakness:

none yet

got a huge deal on ebay came with tires and skewers. used bing to get 8 % back. I rode these back to back with my mavics and the difference is remarkable. Great rims, but cost prohibitive. glad I have them though. I'm going to use them only for my dino races. and hopefully the iceman cometh race.

Incredibly light and strong.

Weakness:

Pricey

Maybe the best that money can buy? I don't know. These are strictly my racing wheels. Have a titanium cassette on them and they are unbelievably light. Have yet to loose a race with these wheels so they must be doing something right for me...even psychologically. Right tire selection is critical for terrain, but I even put one and 1/8th inch wide slick tires on these and can hold my own on group training rides with the roadies. If money is not an object, get'em! Of course, I've only ridden on them a dozen times or so, so I can't attest to their longevity.
