DT Swiss XR 1450 Wheelset

With the experience that we have gained from cross country racing, we have improved upon our successful XR 1540 wheel set. With lighter rims that feature a unique special lightweight coating and a few more details our engineers won't share, we were able to lower the eight without sacrificing stability or stiffness.

DT Swiss are one of the worlds premier wheel manufacturers because they have a second to none attitude, they make the best (DT 190's + XRC rims which i could not afford!) luckily they also manufucture a close second best - the DT Swiss XR 1450 Race Edition!

the wheelset features the tried and tested, very, very popular XR 4.2 rims but with in a colour unique to this wheelset (which are very easy to convert to tubeless if you desire) + a SL version of the also very popular 240 hubs but in a special Ltd Edition race version with a road version freehub with smaller/lighter 6802 bearings + hollowed out 190SL ratchets.

the 1450 wheelset is strong + relatively lightweight, it does not flex much under stress compared to some and is very easy to maintain at most bike shops.

silly OTT shouty "pre weathered" stickers on the wheels might not be to everyones taste - they do peel off very easily though!

my wheelset came with traditional type lever skewers & not the RWS MTB steel skewers that i had expected with such premium wheelset as these.

a refined version of possibly one the most popular mtb wheelsets for a few years now: DT 4.2's + 240's - but with unique graphics and unbeatably warranty.

in 3 months (ab)use my 1450's have stayed true and spin for a long time (and getting longer) i expect years of problem free use from these wheels.

a DT XR tubeless kit has enabled the wheelset to be converted to tubeless it now holds air just as well as UST rims do.

...shop around, prices can be high in places due to exchange rates - it worth the extra effort.
