Strength:

This is a great tire for dry, loose, and rocky SoCal conditions. Light for a 2.3. Side knobs are soft, but durable (none have fallen off on the four tires that I have owned). Rolls fairly well for a large knobbed tire. It seals well when run tubeless on Mavic rims.

Heavier than the published weight (702g for a claimed 650g tire)

Great all around tire for most of the Southwest.

Strength:

Great traction and good price.

Weakness:

Gets a bit packed with mud... but still had superb traction.

I put a Bronson 29 x 2.2 on my singlespeed lat week right before we got a ton of rain. I have taken it out a few times in the mud since and have been amazed at how well it hooks up. It handle climbing, mashing and cornering very well. Almost no loss of traction while mashing up steep climbs in the wet. Considering putting on on the front as well.

Strength:

Light weight for an AM tire.
Rolls good.
Grips on all dry surfaces.
Provides a reasonable amount of stability.

Weakness:

Packs when in mud real fast.

I got the Bronson 2.3 Race tyre just to try out a new tire. Had originally been cycling on a Hutchinson Cougar 2.2. The first impression was really good. It rolled much better and worked well when climbing. But after some muddy riding the tire started to pack mud really fast. But all in all a good tire.
