Strength:

Lower rolling resistance, great traction, round profile, excellent sealing when used tubeless. Great value for the buck.

Weakness:

None yet.

This review is for the 27.5, both 2.35 and 2.1 width. My old favorite Nevegal is a great tire, but it is SLOW. The Nevegal X is touted as having much lower rolling resistance, and that it true. The rounded profile is nice. The tire was easy to mount on the Stan's Flow EX rims in conjunction with Stan's sealant. They hold air the best of any tubeless stet up that I have run so far. They are a good value for the buck. I only have a couple of rides on them so far, I will report back any weaknesses that come up down the trail. Overall a much improved version of an old favorite.

Strength:

High volume, round profile. good transition knobs, neutral steering

Weakness:

Could use protection from my bad line selection

Have had several Nevegals over the years and they were OK if you didn't push the corners too hard. This 'X' version is way better. The side knobs were re-shaped to not roll over when pushed, the transition knobs actually work, and the rounded profile provides neutral steering traversing off-camber sections. Actual size is 2.33 at the knobs and about 2.27 at the casing at 27psi. I would say it is as good as the Maxxis Ardent it replaced, but slightly bigger, which is high praise. It's my new favorite front tire. Only have a couple hundred miles on it, so I can't comment on durability. Might be a five-chiles if it holds up.
