Geax Tattoo Tire

DESCRIPTION

A must for free-style and street, this tyre is designed to withstand extreme pressure. The continuous bead-to-bead tread allows sick leaning angles (thanks also to the in all directions grip surface pattern) and incredible reliability. High max inflation pressure (100 psi, 7 bar) to satisfy free-stylers. Aramid 3D Compound for size 20x2.00, and improved superior grip for size 26x2.30 courtesy of Sticky Soft compound (55 Shore A). Excellent Leaning Angles.

Strength:

Light Weight, inexpensive, rolls fast, durable, long wearing, easy to make tubeless, looks (they also come in white)

Weakness:

Can hydroplane in puddles because of the wide almost slick tread, not enough sizes so might be too wide for some frames or forks

Incredible tire for the price, it rolls fast and provides unreal traction on urban type surfaces and acceptable traction on dry compacted soil (like you would find on BMX or pump track). The tires were originally purchased for urban bike duties on my Chameleon, I was so impressed with the tires, that I kept them when I sold the bike. They eventually made their way to my commuter were they have performed equally well. Bottom line, an excellent tire and a worthy alternative to the significantly heavier and a hell of a lot more expensive Hookworms.
