Compact, price, good for small drops and all-around beginner things

HEAVY! v-brakes have a little too much play sometimes for good pogo-ing or lurching

Great beginner ride that should last a long time if you dont crash too much or aspire to go too big!

cheeeaaap! fat rear tire.

all bearings unsealed. bb unserviceable, comes loose if you look at it, then squeeks like a stuck pig. magura edition equipped w/hs 11's which are comparable to poor v brakes(nothing a good grind and some tar wouldnt solve). not really a weakness, but front tire has a 1/4 in wobble.
bashgaurd too narrow.

I wouldnt buy this bike new. 5-600 is too much for a bike of such poor quality. your better off finding something lighter and higher quality second hand. If you find this bike used at a silly price, it is a good way to get into (or back into in my case) trials.
