SixSixOne Evo AM Helmet

DESCRIPTION

SixSixOne opted for Contigo foam, which supposedly decreases the energy transmitted during a crash by as much as 35%. The MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) has a thin liner placed inside the helmet between the shell and comfort liner that absorbs rotational force in the event of a crash when your head makes contact with the ground at an angle.

Strength:

Fits well with good coverage on the back of the head. Reasonable weight, especially considering this is the MIPS version.

Weakness:

The quality and adjustment of the Visor is not "up to par" with the rest of the otherwise premium feel of this helmet.

This helmet fits my roundish head very well and is quite comfortable. The ventilation seems good but I will have to wait until higher temps to know for sure. With a couple of knocks to the head I thought the possible added protection of MIPS was worth the extra $$

Bell Super- Not as comfortable (for me) but still a nice helmet that did an admirable job of protecting my head in a big hit.
