Looks, and adjustability.
Don't take rock impacts well at all. The slightest tap bends a little tab inside rendering that side of the pedal useless. I tried to contact Customer Service, and it took 3 weeks to return my email. Not worth the bother.
Gonna cobble together yet another fix (heating and hammering a nail flat, then filing and bending it to fit...) and stick these quail hearted things on a road bike. It is so frustrating to fight through a difficult section, dab a foot, and then struggle to get back into the side of the pedal that still works. My buddies have been giving me a hard time for nursing these things along all summer. Now that I have a little time to sort my ride out a bit, they are "the weakest link, GOOD-BYE". THESE ARE NOT UP TO THE RIGORS OF MOUNTAIN BIKING!
