Strength:

These have lasted me longer than any other brand I've tried. I've found with other brands I bend the axles eventually, enough that you can tell when you rotate the cranks by hand. Not managed that with the Hope's yet and the bearings/bushing has also lasted well. The anodising holds up as well as can be expected I think. If you're riding with mud on your shoes it's bound to wear, but my last pair were still pretty good after a couple of years, I sold them because the blue really didn't match the current bike! They still had no play. I'm comfortable in the air, so they get the odd hard landing. I find them the best shape for grip although that will obviously depend on your foot size & shape. Old reviews where the pins were solid are likely to talk about grip being not so good, but the hollow pins are great and seem to stay good. One tip is to leave out the centre pins, I think they grip better like that as then your soles have more pressure on the outer pins.

Weakness:

The only "weakness" is price but they've been easily good enough value and the machining is more complex than on many others.

Strength:

Temporarily nice looking, great pin attachment, impressive machining, non-skid surface effective, clears mud well.

Weakness:

Shape sucks, spindle weak, after 6 months the bearings are popping, anodizing is simply pathetic and wore off within a few rides.

I have been a huge fan of all things Hope for many years (I am a dealer). However, the last several parts I have sold or purchased for my own use have had the crappiest anodizing I have found to date. Yesterday 01/11/15 I snapped my left pedal spindle 3 miles from my truck and with only a nub to work with (.75" of spindle remaining) it was a joyful walk back. Fortunately my riding bro's managed to find, purchase and return with a nice set of plastic turd pedals which got me through the rest of the day. YaY, I promise to never talk sh!t about plastic pedals again.

When I first purchased the F20's I was very impressed but over time they have proven to be uncomfortable, unreliable and certainly not worth their required MSRP. There are many other, significantly less expensive, much more reliable pedals on the market. Steer clear of these.
