Strength:

~ Improved engagement, due to new traction pads
~ Decent, 322g weight
~ New IGUS bushing replaces crappy inner needle bearings which fail often
~ Fully serviceable internals
~ Machine-ribbed pedal body is even grippier
~ Improved Hex head end cap

Weakness:

Slightly heftier size more susceptible to narrow boulder crossings

Previously had the uber-light Candy 11... which needed bi-annual Crankbrothers SPA servicing. The needle bearings on the fat side of the pedal spindle was inherently a bad idea, as they needed more replacement than I ever imagined. Crankbrothers listened this time and released the Candy 7 with a durable, Delrin polymer bushing(IGUS) and it's stout and hella light.
