Strength:

These are 100% machined! They take a block of aluminum, and carve it down to what you see. I guess what people are mistaking as a cast is the powder coating which comes on the silver ones as well as the black. By the way, these things are gorgeous, they did a beautiful job machining them and look stunning on my bike as well as perform. I really feel like my foot is in these unlike the previous generation.

Weakness:

More people don't buy them.

I have a pair in silver and they look amazing! I'm a huge fan of high quality made in U.S.A. components and boy do these fit the ticket! Yes, the $110 was hard to take, but after buying these I honestly have never looked back. Great product, definitely try them out.

Big. Grippy. What else do you need?

With 5.10 shoes your feet will never come off.

Weakness:

Without shinguards, these will straight up eat your leg.

Straight up these pedals are the closest thing to being clipped in without actually going SPD. Landing off camber or even crashing sideways, your feet will NOT slip off the pedal. To reposition your foot you have to lift off the pedal because the spikes hold so well.
Also, they work as freakin' bottle openers.

All in all, the pedals are the best platforms out there. Also, they all come from the OG shop in Brooklyn, just 4 dudes who all ride. Who can't support that?

Nice big platform. No crappy pins that don't even work. All the grip you are going to find out of a platform, plus they look the sickest to.

Weakness:

I don't see enough people running these.

I have used the Azonic platforms, 50/50, and plenty of others that don't even compare. I DH and dirt jump and these are the only pedals that I would recommend if you don't want your feet slipping. On top of everything the guys at Brooklyn Machine Works are totally chill and stand behind their product, BUY THEM!!!

Strength:

SUPER wide platform. Even if you miss your footing, you're likely to land back on the pedal.

Weakness:

It used to be expensive, but nowadays every other high end platform is plus 100 bills.

This review is for the BMW veggie burger, which is the shinburger with four huge pockets machined out of them. It brings the weight down a lot, but it also makes, I think, the pedals much grippier. With a set of five tens or other soft sole, the pedals stick as good as SPDs in side loads. Totally awesome on the trails. Plus the brooklyn crew is mad chill.

Strength:

huge platforms. big teeth. strong. mean. unique look. quality build. opens bottles. paired with my 5-10s its like being glued to the pedals. Get some if you want to stay on your bike!

Weakness:

no replaceable traction. Once you swipe off a tooth on concrete, metal, rock etc.......its gone for good! heavy, but the new veggies look lighter.

these pedals are big and grippy and'll never letcha down. So what if they heavy...... get 'em!!!!

These things are absolutely sick. Completely bomber and super sticky. If you have ever had problems with pedals breaking before or are a bigger person these things are the cure to all of you woes. Super large platform. easy to find if your feet come off.

Weakness:

None, unless you count the fact that you must have shin guards. Unless you are among the truly sick.

These are the best pedals that money can buy. Don't buy these unless you are planning to be willing to wear shin guards.

Strength:

Far better grip than pin pedals. With sticky rubber shoes like Intense, almost like being clipped as per lateral slip. Wide platform plus slow rotation makes slip-off recovery very easy.

Weakness:

Teeth do bend/flatten with rock contact--not bombproof.

Everyone I've let try them wants them. Big improvement is stay-put for me. More expensive than they ought to be, but same for most name pedals.

Grips like nothing else, looks really mean, spins slow (great for no footers!) Brooklyn Machine Works!

Weakness:

Price. They cost quite a pretty penny.
Very sharp, wear shin guards.

These are great, especially if you own a Brooklyn. They are good for DH and BMX. Your feet will NOT slip off these pedals. They look great. They punish people they are not familiar with. They open bottles nicely too. BEEFY, like any other Brooklyn product.
