Strength:

Original derailleur on a new bike. It's my first experience with 12 speed. It shifted quietly, stayed adjusted. For close to 100 miles. I don't want to say it functioned flawlessly during that time. I washed the bike and left the chainstay protector off for a quick ride around the block to dry things off, and the chain managed to chip some paint off the chainstay. So even when the clutch worked, it didn't work well.

Weakness:

The clutch. After not much use, the clutch no longer works. Turned on, the derailleur won't take up chain slack. Turned off, it takes up the slack, but it's no longer a clutch derailleur. No protection against chain slap or chain drop. Serviced according to Shimano instructions. No improvement. I gather the XT and XTR use the same exact clutch. Big fail for Shimano.
