Strength:

Changes gears crisply and smoothly,
Never misses a beat,
Only had it adjusted the first time,
Doesn't bend,
Mine is outlined nicely in red

Weakness:

Haven't seen any and I probably won't

I've had the Shimano alivio and the Shimano slx. This beats them both. After the success of this derailleur, I then went and bought the matching shifters and again the same story. Extremely dissatisfied with the front Shimano XT derraileur so I just bought the matching front derailleur. Have'nt gotten it yet but I'm sure its going to be the same quality,
The slx I had would always, no matter how well it was adjusted, skip gears and have infrequent results. I haven't had any of that in over a year since I bought this (about 2 years). The pulleys that come with it are even better quality in that the bushing is thicker metal and better quality. I gave them to my brother because I have ridiculously expensive pulleys, I wish I wouldn't have given them away. I could use them now. I definitely have been switching to this brand. I think this is what shimano used to be. One more thing. This compares in longevity, in my experience, with the Shimano Deore BUT crisper shifting, stronger materials and being able to hold adjustments longer.
