Strength:

Keeps the chain on even on the bumpiest of trails. I ride a hardtail 29er and have not had a dropped chain yet. It is quiet and if it rubs, i dont ever notice it. The spacing is thin enough to not allow the chain to slip off the ring and get jammed on the side. Installation was a cinch even with my seat tube being a 35.2 mm instead of 34.9. It curves around the ring enough to never let the chain slip out the side as well.

Weakness:

I have kicked it twice and it slipped down so it was hitting the chain ring and made a very annoying noise whenever i pedaled but it was very easy to set back up. This is to be expected though. My main problem is that the spacing doesnt work very well with a double crank set. The spacing is set up for a triple crank and is too far inboard for the chain to be in the smallest gears and not rub. Its also ridiculously expensive, it retailed for $110 when i bought it.

Very solid product. Ive had no problems with wear with the plastic parts as of yet. Everything works as it should, now they just need to make some way to give a bike with BB30, no ISCG mounts and no space for a bash ring a bash guard!

Strength:

Keeps chain on the chainring even while pedaling through rough stuff, light, easy to install

Weakness:

While Iv'e only had the guide for a little while, I can see the plastic wearing out quickly. If you get the white version, it will turn black quickly. Expensive!

I keep seeing reviews about how the allen heads strip out easily. If you just use a reasonable amount of force they won't. The product is fantastic! It keeps the chain on even while pedaling through really nasty stuff. I have yet to have a chain derailment. I like it mucho!

Strength:

Light, easy to install, easy to adjust

Weakness:

None really, does what it should....allen does strip easily if not using a perfectly brand new key.

Great for XC, easily does what you want it to do, especially for the money. I mainly ride XC, but also enjoy some burley riding from time to time and will probably switch to a system with a guard, impressed enough with MRP I'll probably get one of their Mini G2 systems.

Strength:

does what it supposed to do keeps the chain on !!

Weakness:

Iffy build quality, Bolts are really really soft, rounded one way to easily.

I have used it now for about 3 months and it works just fine. I will have to wait and see how well holds up but so far so good. I am going to take one chili away for the rounded Bolt, but I like it and just because it looks like it might break any minute does not mean it will.

Strength:

Very light, holds the chain on (well thats what its meant to do!)

Weakness:

Quality is a a bit iffy, plastics look a bit cheap and nasty. The bolts that hold it togethor are shocking, the rounded out on it's first installation. very very soft metal, terrible quality hardware. chain jammed and put a huge bend in the arm of it.

NO harder to install than any similar guide, very light and securely holds the chain. all good, but it is WEAK!!! bolts are ridiculously weak, round them out if an allen key even comes close to them! Plastics are a bit cheap and tacky. The main arm is weak, put a large bend in it when the chain jammed once. Better off looking at options from e-thirteen.
