Strength:

Length, weight.

Weakness:

None so far.

I actually got this as a hand-me-down from a fellow rider who decided to go back to a shorter length bar. I have the 780mm length but it was probably cut down to about 710mm by the previous rider. Unlike some of the other reviewers, despite the bar being cut, I had no problems getting my shifter and brake levers on with some Lizard Skins Bearclaw grips.

In addition to the longer bar (my previous was 685mm), I flipped my Stylo T20 (75mm) stem. The combination of the longer bar and the negative rise put me in a fairly comfortable position for the most part, but I think I'll change my stem out for something shorter.

Handling has improved with less twitchiness and more stability, particularly on descents. I also like the added leverage on climbs. I'd like to put a few more rides in before passing judgment, but I may opt to go even longer.

Strength:

Wide, strong enough for downhill riding.

Weakness:

Can't cut it down because the taper from 31.8 mm to 25.4 mm extends very far out. If oyu do, you won't have enough space to fit your brakes, shifters and grips.

Strong, wide, but you can't cut it down to make it narrower.

Strength:

Sick bar from Truvativ. WIDE (mine measures 32" with barends), nice amount of rise and sweep, very light for a DH bar too. The color is nicer than boring black.

Weakness:

Well I was a bit omnious of the 'Truvativ' logo on there, after running (and chucking) hussefelt bars... But they have done well here.

Awesome bar for the bigger riders. Dont cut it down embrace the 32" uprise!!

Hussefelts (boring, too narrow, heavy), Funn Full On (fine, could be wider)

Strength:

Nice look, beefy, reasonable weight.

Weakness:

Cannot trim the bar because the tapering from 31.8 down to "grip diameter" happens too far out. DO NOT TRIM THIS BAR or you won't have enough space for your brakes and grip.

Good bar; 2 chillis off because of their oversight in the tapering. Remember, DO not trim this bar!

31" sounds really wide and it is. I am tall with long arms so it works for me. I would not recommend this product for short people but if you know 31" is for you, then is one sweet looking wide bar.
