Strength:

Good quality levers, solid one piece design, strong.

Weakness:

Braking power is only adequate, not a huge amount of adjustment, but overall okay for the price.

You gets what you pays for! Average performing brakes, but a good price. Does what it says, but can be improved in a few areas (performance, pad adjustment)

Strength:

cheap, simple, gives solid feel of rim(with proper housing and lever that is) being a trials rider i needed a cheap brake with power to lock up i could trust

Weakness:

none, and not expecting any

buy em, cheap, works, who cares what people say about shimano. if it works it works. with a proper set-up expensive vees loose their appeal.

Strength:

They look good.Fairly strong.

Weakness:

Crappy linkage. Bearing's come loss quick,Better off buying "XT".Their far better!!!Or try scam or avid for real stopping power.

Stay away from the big "S" brakes.Try avid single digit 25 or sram 9.0.Shimano's linkage becomes worn fast and is not that powerful!!!

Strength:

look nice, strong for about a month.

Weakness:

pads wear out every month and cost a whole lot to replace for v-brakes and the springs that keep them from sticking to your rim wear out really fast.

This product is just plain dumb. it costs $30 a month to replace the brake pads and after using them long enough they stay stuck to your rim. I sugest disk brakes. im getting hayes hydralic.

Strength:

Powerful, look good,

Weakness:

Pads wear moderately fast

These brakes are powerful and very quiet. All these people that complain about poor modulation have flexy frames and forks. With my fork there is top quality modulation, I need a booster for the rear but they are really nice. Parallel push works very good. Just one thing is that the pads are of a somewhat low quality and get worn. I still think they are real nice.

Strength:

Nice looks, strong, good stopping power

Weakness:

pads wear fast, that would be the only one

Good brakes, I get even good stoping power even using only one finger. The frame used to bend, but with the booster, it works just fine, I was thinking of Disc brakes, but frankly these suits me just fine for now
