Strength:

Solid Frame, Great Brakes, Good Fork for price point.

Weakness:

Uncomfortable Seat, Front Derailleur.

I bought this bike to commute to work daily, ride paved trails, ride downhill on loose dirt trails at the local ski basin, and to ride cross country trails. On average I put about 50 miles on this bike weekly, when its above 60F. So far this bike has performed wonderfully, I have no complaints that weren't easily rectified (the seat hardness being the primary complaint.) Also I believe if I maintained the bike better and didn't cross-ride the gears I wouldn't have any issues with the derailleurs, they are temperamental but will still shifts into the gear you need it to. It's also worth noting the brakes on this bike are amazing, they've easily saved me from getting creamed by attentive drivers.

If you plan on abusing a bike this one can handle it. I am just starting my second season with this bike and haven't had to replace any of the components due to wear, or damage from crashes and the likes.

I would suggest buying this bike if you are looking to get back into riding and don't want to sell your kidneys to pay for A bike. The components on this bike are, in my opinion and assessment, the best option for this price point. And without spending a few thousands dollars on a high end bike you won't be getting a significant or measurable difference in performance; which probably will go unused given your skill level if you are just getting back into riding.

Durability, Comfortable ride

Fork

Great entry level bicycle I use for commuting a 16 mile round trip ride to work. It works well in the cold upstate, NY winters and will only get better once I begin upgrading the components.

Solid frame, good fit, as far as spring forks go, the RST Gila Pro w/ LO is great. Love the Kenda Small Black Eight tires. All parts have been good as well, no breaks as of this review.

Weakness:

The stock seat and grips are mediocre, comes with a bottom swing Shimano Altus F/D which needed adjustment several time between 2 bike shops before it began to function properly, I blame the bike mechanic at the first shop, as the 2nd shop fixed it right up and it works fine.

2010 F7 CO2. Good bike. Right price. I would buy again. Recommend to those looking for a decent bike to ride trials and asphalt that don't want to spend to much, but dont want a really entry level bike. I am 6'3 and I ride the XL 21" frame and it fits me fine.

Strength:

Strong, durable frame. Great Shifting, Outstanding hybrid performance, great value for money.

Weakness:

Goes out of tune 2-3 times per season, but I'm a lard arse - hard on the whole system. Some stock components are truly crap, might as well replace before you leave the store. Stock seat is a taint buster.

This is a gateway bike for noobs like me who aren't sure if they're going to do it enough to become Bike Guy. This thing is a great hybrid entry level bike that's done EVERYTHING I wanted it to do, and more. Even survived a bear collision. Over 2200km in year 1, 60% road, 40% trail riding. SRAM shifters couldn't be easier. Couple of flat tubes, upgraded pedals (really helped power transfer) only mods I've had to make. That said, gears, chains & tires are near the end after ~1.5y, but I'm very impressed given the beating I've put on this entry level bike. Oustanding value for money, even as Cannondale's 'value' (Taiwanese-made) model. It was expensive enough to be proud of and trust in bad terrain, cheap enough to buy without getting too much crap form the wife, and quality enough to make you understand why guys go to the next level ($1500-$2000) for bikes.

it is a great bike its a grate mountain bike and urban bike if you want to ride in the road and not loose all your energy to your shocks then you can simply lock them i like that that is one of my favorite parts of the bike i like the disk breaks are pretty good about stopping on time it has a sturdy frame its an all round great bike

Weakness:

it is a little hard to shift if its your first time using that kind of shifting bike if your looking at buying this kind of bike ask for an instruction manual and check out how to shift it i tore up the metal on the bike from shifting the wrong i finally can shift it the right way now and the chain is a little hard to use just keep it dry and it will do fin make sure you wipe all all all of the oil of when your done oiling it or it will get grimy

it is a great bike it takes some getting used to the shifting and breaking in to but it is a great bike i love it it is not so good on rock but it does great on trails and around the street it has been over all a good bike you should buy this bike if you live in a neighborhood and you visit the mountains and ski resorts a couple of times in the summer like 5 or six but i don't think that it will hold up if you ride the mountains every day its a great low price bike you get your moneys worth defiantly i have over 250 miles on it and have had it for almost 2 summers i have taken it to the bike shop 1 time to get checked up on nothing was wrong with it i just think that i should check up on it once a year

The first thing that attracted me to this bike was its price. For the $ you simply aren't going to get a better entry level bike. The brakes and fork are great for the person learning to ride and because the bike is Cannondale, easily upgraded. The bike is light and shifts like a dream.

Weakness:

With over 120+ miles on the bike, I have yet to find a glaring weakness. The stock pedals leave something to be desired but anyone who rides for any length of time is going to go clipless anyway.

You simply aren't going to get this much bike for the price anywhere else. The front fork, disc brakes and the Cannondale name push this bike to the head of the class in the entry level department. This bike is a joy to ride. I would recommend this bike to anyone that is interested in getting into mountain biking
