Frame is a tank, linkage is great, overall strong and reliable, wheels are crazy good

Weakness:

Stock rear shock

So it handles jumps, drops, rocks and whatever else like a roman god... I have a different setup from stock, but its great no matter what. Sure, it doesnt have a real slack head angle or whatever but it doesnt need it... Buy if you get a deal!!

Strength:

Very durable, takes a pounding. I love the front shock, very plush. The 50/50 pedals are sick!

Weakness:

The 5th element rear shock Is a little lame. It does not have the capability to turn the rebound up very far. But it does fine.

Overall a great bike! I would reccomend it to lighter people who will get more out of the shox!

Strength:

Ultra durable, nice components, beefy frame. And besides the usable strengths, it's just a sexy bike to look at.

Weakness:

Heavy, limited turning radius.

Great bike, very strong, will take the hits. For the price you get a LOT of great components and a beefy frame to abuse as much as you like.

*This review is for the 2007 7Point5*

Overall a very capable bike. The suspension handles technical, rocky, rooty, steep terrain like a pro. Very fun on the berms and jump lines.
I was also surprised at how well this bike handles super steep climbs!

Weakness:

At 42.4 lbs stock, its a beefy, but nothing a real man can't handle. To be honest, it doesn't feel that heavy on the trail- so i guess it's not a weakness after all.

All in all the best bike I've ridden. Probably greatly due to the DW Link. I ride alot of very technical trails, and this makes them super fun. I plan to hold onto this bike for years to come. If you're not sure about buying one, take my advice and buy it- you won't be disappointed!

DW-Link=awesome pedalling, 1.5 headtube, suspension design allows very light weight spring rate.

Weakness:

Boxxer Ride, kinda heavy.

This bike is the best 7" frereride bike I've ridden, pedals with no bob, and bombs downhill. Can easily be used for xc rides it pedals so well. Go buy one, now!

Strength:

overall stability in turns in air, good over modulation in hilly trails, excellent at absorbing with 7" of travel, very comfortable cockpit and easy to jump the big hiots with.

Weakness:

poor turning radius with triple crown fork, gearing is a, chain jumps and gets sucked in to the rear tire after big jumps

GOOD CENTER OF GRAVITY & PERFORMANCE. OUT PERFORMS OTHERS, PEDALS UP THE HILL JUST AS FAST AND GETS DOWN THE HILL EVEN QUIKER, TAKES THE BIG HITS & HUGE DROPS WITH THE REST OF EM. ID PUT THIS BIKE UP AGAINST ANY IN A BROAD SPECTRUM OF TRAILS, RACES, COMPETITIONS AND TAKES A BEATING

Strength:

stiff frame, good on large impacts like drops/hucks, nimble in the air

Weakness:

geo is a little off for steep/sketchy terrain. i have an 06 and i have had too many problems with my linkages. they developed play that wouldnt go away and i wasted alot of time trying to fix them. i found that on successive hits the suspension packed down, it could have been the shock but i changed it and nothing changed.

I really wanted to like this bike, but was let down by linkage problems and trouble in some situations with suspension performance. I found this to simply be an average ride.

Strength:

This bike is for starters is the most responsive freeride that I have ever ridden for the price. I takes big hits and allows you to make some errors because the bike is so versatile. The Forks in the front are also off the charts!!

Weakness:

The DW Link is great but the rear spring would have been a lot better if it came with a 450 LB. spring.

The bike is great and has made the style of riding that I do very enjoyable! I couldn't ask for anything else this bike is great. If you don't like it you bought it for the wrong reason or the wrong style of riding. So the bike is great and for the price you can't beat it!!
