Good looker, never had any problems, great for down hill

    Weakness:

Too heavy for the somebody you uses a bike one every 2 years

Bike was most expensive in shop when new . Aprox £900. Thought I might get into it but only used it about 6 times, think its too heavy for old man

    Weakness:

I had the chain come off a couple of times but i seem to do that which ever bike i am on

i would love to know how much this bike was sold for in the days when they were making it if anyone knows please get in touch
Feel like i have the bargain of a lifetime - who knew cycling could be that much fun?

further to last review, the frame is spot on for a fun ride and can take a beating. in my last interview i said that the basic bike was a good base for sensible upgrades over time and i was right. i have taken nearly two years to slowly sort out the fork, transmission and brakes and have ended up with a bargain full susser that can hold its own on a long run against a mates patriot.

    Weakness:

as per my last interview, the acera chainset combo is not up for much more than a gentle ride around the park and the zokes fork is plain nasty. hoewever when your paying 250 gbp you cant expect a pro dh rig

they dont make it any more. pick up a last of the line unwanted present for the 200 quid mark, gradually spend a further 250-300 over a year (start with the fork) or do it slower if your budget was as low as mine and end up with a really nice, capable bike for mortal downhill fun and jumps. dont expect it to go uphill but then if thats your bag get a hardtail!!. review scores given based on the bikes start point and its potential combined

Great Front and Rear Shocks, Short Fat Stem, Good Looking Saddle

    Weakness:

    Acera Gears (particularly front shifters

Just taken the bike out a few times over pretty rugged trails - bike has held up pretty well apart the shifters (but you get what you pay for!). If I could afford to spend more I would particular upgrading the gearing system. No complaints about the frame and shocks though - which are doing the job sound! I will update later this year. P.S. Rear Shifters broke on first ride! - spring worked loose - time to upgrade!!!!!

IMPRESSED BY THE FRAME DETAIL GIVEN THE PRICE. INCLUDES REPLACEABLE DROPOUT, QUALITY WELDS AND GUSSETS, WELL THOUGHT OUT CABLE ROUTING. UNLIKE MANY SIMILAR PRICED BIKES THIS IS ONE THAT WILL BE GENUINELY WORTH SPENDING A FEW QUID TO SPEC UP.

    Weakness:

"SHOCK WORKS" REAR SHOCK NEEDS A LOCKOUT AND STRONGER SPRINGS. FRONT MECH QUITE TEMREMENTAL.

WELL WORTH CONSIDERING AS A FIRST TIME FULL SUSSER. LIKELY TO TAKE THE KIND OF ABUSE MOST MORTALS CAN THROW AT IT, NOT TOO HEAVY SO FALLS WELL INTO BUDGET FREERIDE CLASS.
