DESCRIPTION

The Hyrax is a new addition to our lineup – the baby brother to the slakline, it displays very similar characteristics to our stage and stage max in terms of pedaling efficiency however has a more progressive spring rate for bigger hits. Hence the name Hyrax which is the scientific name for our indigenous Rock Rabbit or Dassie( pronounced Dussy) The Hyrax is the closest living relative to the African Elephant and is extremely fast and nimble on rocky uneven terrain. They live in family groups and have predetermined escape lines should they ever be in danger.

OVERALL
RATING
5
Strength:

Quick handling, playful ride, more than capable on short technical climbs for a more trail/light enduro bike

Weakness:

A little sluggish on long, gravel, dirt road climbs. Can get a little overpowered in steep, rocky terrain. Basically, the only weaknesses are the two extreme ends of the spectrum that the bike isn't necessarily designed for XC and Downhill riding.
