Strength:

Great components for the price

Weakness:

Bought from bikedirect. Rear shock leak. Was told to to bring to local shop. Local shop reluctant to work on bike. Rear cable derailleur not put together properly. Finally figured it out and correct problem. Great value, but you're on your own if you have any problem.

If you're going to buy a bike from bikedirect you need to be able to work on your own bike. YouTube helps. Good luck

Strength:

Price, Price, and Price. You get a really good front fork, nice tires, good brakes, very good shimano setup.

Weakness:

The frame seems a bit heavy, but who cares for the price.
The RockShox Monarch R rear shock is garbage (No lockout, noise, leaks oil)
The front derailleur rubs the chain in one gear. I messed around with it for over an hour. I think it's the frame mount. (not a deal breaker)

This bike is great for people that want a great trails bike but don't want to spend a lot of money either. I almost bought this bike, but decided to demo a friends out before. I tested it out brand new before my friend actually rode it actually.
I would recommend this bike to a person that doesn't want a hardtail and doesn't want to spend a lot of money, but will get a nice bike for weekend trails. Definitely not a bike for a the every day trail rider.
