Lynskey Performance Designs Ridgeline 650 VF 27.5 Hardtail

DESCRIPTION

Welcome the newest member of the Ridgeline family. 27.5" is being called possibly the best of both worlds and maybe the perfect wheel size for almost any trail on the planet. All our Ridgeline models have a multi-shaped, cold formed tube selection, meaning diamond shaped top and down, oversized 44mm head, and S bend stays. This brings to the endurance rider (ie. 12 or 24 hour solo or maybe "Ride the Divide") an unsurpassed comfort level while never scrimping on the power transfer and stability features Lynskey is known for with all our hardtail builds.

Add Shimano XT drive train and Stan's No Tubes Crest rims and 3.30 hubs to this mix and quite possibly you show up to the trail with the greatest value package compared to any of your single track riding buddies. We've drawn the geo to best be served by a 120mm X-Fusion Velvet (as in smooth) RL2 fork nicely complimented by an FSA cockpit for comfort and style.

Strength:

- frame is a work of art and welds in particular are excellent
- the bike is fabricated and built in Tennessee
- the build is impressive, would have chosen the exact components myself, no need to upgrade
- great value when compared to other titanium bikes or even production carbon

Weakness:

I purchased both this bike and a road bike from lynskey the following week. On both of them i was told they were in stock and ready to ship. On my ridgeline I was told it was a bike built for the images and was ready to ship. well they said they had made a mistake on the size of the bike and would need to build a new one for me which delayed my bike a couple weeks. No big deal but nearly the same thing happened on my road bike, they really need to get a handle on inventory management.

Excellent bike, i love it and have already put a few rides down. Just a bit annoyed that they took so long to figure out what they have in stock and were incorrect when they did.

Good to ride uphill, bombproof, absorbs impact, very stable and very much excellent to look at

Was a bit hesitant at first coming from a FS Bike but boy was I suprised! The bike really is worth the investment and gives you an unexplainable sense of satisfaction.
