Strength:

durable, well built

Weakness:

very expensive, still have to file housing

$40 is a bit much for something so simple that I'll really only use a few times over the years. With that said, I've already used them more than I thought. Others have said that these go dull very quick. I've not experienced this, maybe I've not used it enough. It cuts brake and shifter cable perfectly every time. But housing is another matter. It sort of smashes it when it cuts. So you have to use a nail punch or something to open the housing back up and file the sharp end off. If you just need to cut cables, you'll be fine. But then why pay $40? Housing...look elsewhere.

Sturdy

Weakness:

Price

Expected more for the price and with Park's reputation. This tool cuts no better than a sharp pair of diagonal cutters, housing still requires filling to achieve a square end. Tool is of very sturdy construction and should continue to "function" for years.

Cable Crimper.

Weakness:

Cable/Housing Cutter

First Park tool to let me down. After a year of light home use the cutter started fraying everything. After about 10 frayed cables I gave up and bought a cheap Spin Doctor Cutter. I thought about keeping the cables and sending them back to Park but decided not to since their other stuff is top notch. Just picked up some Pedro's and am expecting a better experience.

Strength:

Good solid feel.
Cuts clean/fast
Doesn't crush Shimano SP41 derailler cable

Weakness:

None

I read many mixed reviews of the Park cutting tool and had some concern - since I will mostly be cutting Shimano SP41 derailler cable housing. All I can say is that those reviews must have been written based on the previous version of the Park Cable Cutter.

This is a great tool and I am very happy I have it!

Built very well with solid feel

I'll start this review for the CN-10. Note the CN-10 is Park's top-of-the-line cutter, it does not look like the one in the picture. Anyway, the tool is very solid and handles very well. It cuts housing very well too. I tried in on the Aztec teflon housing and it performs wonderfully/ Aztec recommends using the Dremel tool to cut the housing, but I found it easier to use the Park tool instead. Before cutting the housing, I insert a piece of wire cable within the housing first to prevent the housing from collapsing under force, apply the cut, and discard the inside cable.

Lifetime tool. Works. Doesn't complain or whine. Easy to find with blue accents on handles. Bomb proof.

Weakness:

None. Just clipping. No happy ending.

This is the do it all clipper tool for your bike kit.
