Strength:

Easy to read display. Easy to use controls. Burly wiring harness.

Weakness:

Cheap, flimsy mount. Discontinued features.

This is not your father's Enduro 8 and that's a bad thing. While the display remains good (though not back lit) and the single button is easy to operate even with gloves, CatEye has cheapened this newest generation. Missing is the manual start / stop feature for those who need to record ride times and stops. The ability to use this computer on two bikes with optional second mount is gone. Also the redesigned mount is much cheaper than its predecessor. For what it's worth, CatEye added Carbon Offset and Calorie Consumption. Your faith in the accuracy of those modes is your choice.

If a dumbed down Enduro 8 still appeals to you, you'll be find with your purchase. But if you're replacing one, give the features and functions list a second look.

I feel guilty returning it to my struggling LBS so I'll list it for sale via my bike club forum for $20, 33% off the purchase price.
