Campmor - Bikeshops, Paramus, Jersey

DESCRIPTION

Campmor is a Huge outdoor store With a full service Bike shop inside.
The staff is pretty good, and the prices are reasonable. The big draw for me is that they carry some of the brands you don't find very often on the east coast. I.E. Kona,Iron Horse,Titus,Marin. They also have a good gear selection.

Jeff is by far the best bike mechanic in the NJ/NY/PA area. He can fix stuff in a bind just before your race or do a complete overhaul in a day. They have a good selection of parts and accessories in stock, if its not they will have it within a week.

Customer Service

Customer service is second to none. Campmor has their own one year unconditional warranty on all items. I've used it several times on bottle cages that kept breaking.

Excellent bike shop with high end mountain and road bikes. Very Impressed with the selection of Fuji bikes on the floor, especially the carbon. Wide range of accessories and everything you need in the world of cycling and mountain biking. Carbon bars, cranks, etc. Cycling shirts, shorts, shoes, etc. The list goes on and on. Very knowledgeable staff, Great store. Beats other high end snobby bikes that sell the 'big name' bikes.

I can't tell you how many shops I've been to. Most have all their own negatives & positives. This group of people that work at Campmor are incredible however. They really are a step above everyone else. If you want/need something simple, easy, they've got it. If you're more technical and want to sink your teeth into all the latest and greatest components out there these guys know their stuff. Pricing wise they are as competitive as any online catalogue. I'd rather buy from a local shop through people who will stand by what they put on your bike. Sorry I dont know everyone there by name but I have never met anyone so knowledgable and helpful as Jeff who works there. His expertise is second to none. All of the other guys I've talked to also know their stuff and are very pleasant to deal with. The bikeshop in Campmor is one of the finest micro brew shops in NJ and I will continue to use them for years to come.

As previuosly mentioned the store is not bike specific its an outdoors, sportsman store. The bike shop is good.

Customer Service

The sales and mechanics are top rate. The don't talk down to newbies and spend time tomake sure all your questions are answered. If you ask questions about riding they'll have the right answer. ask mechanical or sales they'll get it right. There's no presure to buy these people justlove taking about bikes. Prices are very competive.

An outdoor supply store with an in house bike department. A selection of goods in stock that is second to none. Also available through their web site this store is a one stop shop for all of my biking needs from toastie warmers to unusual read shock parts.

Customer Service

This store has the most personable and above all knowlegable individuals working there. I have found that their own experience on the trails has traslated into smart, money saving advice for my biking needs. If you need a bike, parts or service this is definately the store to visit. Any store run by riders for riders has to be good.

The shop has a fantastic selection of bicycles, both for mountain and road, on display and in stock, from Kona, Iron Horse, Marin, and Titus to name a few. They also have have a great selection of parts in stock, ranging from forks, wheels, and drivetrain parts, to a great selection of clothing, all from the best manufacturers. And if they don't have it in stock or don't normally carry it, they will do what they can to get it for you Their prices are very competitive and they often have sales with prices that are tough to beat.

Customer Service

They have the best service in the area. They are all very knowledgable about all the bikes and brands they carry. They are all polite, courteous and eager to help you. Their mechanics are great and familiar with all types of bikes and even offer professional builds and services. I have had them do a lot of work for me and have yet to be dissatisfied.

One of the things that makes this shop great is that everyone who works in the bike shop is a real rider, both mountain biking and road cycling, so they can give you real world advice on the bikes and parts they carry. Their full service shop also offers classes on home bike repair which not many shops do. Tahir, Geoff, Mark and all the guys are great. They are definitely worth a good look.

Campmor has a huge selection of MTB bikes, accessories and clothes. The guys who work in the bike shop know their stuff and all ride. They've got great deals on bikes and you just need to talk up the staff to find out what's on sale when.

Customer Service

No pressure to buy and willing to spend time to talk. Every guy has great knowledge of bikes.

As mentioned in the intro, Campmor's the only dealer in the area selling Kona, Marin, Iron Horse and Titus, which makes them pretty unique. Yes it's not the same as going to a bike-specific place, but they've got great products and extremely knowledgable guys, so it's worth checking out for all things MTB. Besides, checking out the camping, hiking and kayaking stuff is fun too.
