Trailhead Cycling and Fitness - Bikeshops, Champlin, Minnesota

DESCRIPTION

Great Cyclocross selection. Carries Marin Bikes also. Nice Variety - very few shops take the risk of carrying so many brands, so deep. Easy to find (right off highway 169), good hours. Staff is superior.

Non-conforming, non-concept store. Possibly the largest store in the twin cities area. Well lit and clean, could possibly use a few more accessories, but all in all has a great selection.

check out their blog at http://thbackdoor.blogspot.com/

The best part is Larry Sayler, bike shop owner extrodinair.

he knows it all, shares it all, loves it all. too bad he doesn't have time to ride it all!

Winter lines include: Ellipticals, Treadmills, Trainers and Rollers. Spin bikes too; even a Spin Class. Yup, get together with other roadies and ride inside two nights a week.

Strength:

well, for starters ive bought 2 bikes from them. a 2017 cannondale cujo 1 and a 2015 khs 4 season 500. the free 2 year service is EXCELLENT. ive brought both bikes in several times and they make them feel brand new. The staff there are highly experienced and really friendly, even if your not buying a bike! i highly recommend them, this is the best bike shop ive been to in years!

Weakness:

the downside is. the bikes are usually a bit higher priced (but thats understandable, bike mechanics cant work for free)

The shop is well stocked with average prices

Customer Service

customer service is where they stand out to me. Staff is very knowlegable on generals and well as technical aspects. I was very pleased when I had a question that the salesperson did not know, he prompty got someone who did know instead of "trying their best guess" like some other shops. OVer all very impressed

Shop felt well-stocked and was in constant motion. There wasn't a moment where someone wasn't in for service or shopping and the staff handled it all with ease. Prices were not spectacular, but felt fair and in looking at the market, average in comparison to other bike shops.

Customer Service

Excellent customer service. The staff were all approachable, honest in their assessments of the products and potential fit for our family. There was not pressure to buy, just the desire to make sure we were getting something that worked well for us individually.
