Nice selection of bikes and great service. I like Bike Attack because they gave me the best deal on my Intense Spider and they don't bullsh** you. I received plenty of free service from them because I'm a loyal customer. They know their parts because they test ride them first before they sell them.

Customer Service

Friendly and very knowledgeable.

This shop used to cater to DOWNHILL only! The owner Ericson races All Mountain, so he knows what he's talking about. They sell Intense and Foes, the highest end of them all, but GT and KHS also. Nowadays they sell everything, even beach cruiser and they seem to have a huge Fixie crowd, because the other owner and some mechanics are into them. This is one of my favorite stores in the area.

Customer Service

Friendly and very helpful. Service is great, they hook you up when you buy a bike from them and even beat some online store prices.

Nice selection of bikes you hardly find anywhere else and people who know how to ride them.
The owners and most mechanics all ride themselves and therefore recommend the good stuff that won't break.

Customer Service

Friendly people and knowledgeable service.

I recently went in to the Santa Monica location for a routine brake bleed on my front brake. Half an hour later i am told and shown that neither brakes work or are fixable. Immediately after one of the "owners" tries to sell me brakes for "the best price." The prices he gave me were almost $200 more than most online bike mail orders, so I tell them I will hold off. Just then, the mechanic says "...uh let me try something I saw on the internet." All of the sudden the brakes work again WOW! I am out $40 for the mechanic time and my bike is exactly how it was when I brought it in. I ended up fixing the problem myself. I was referred to this shop by a few friends whom I have all told never to come here again. These guys are ridiculous and will rip you off. My guess is that they are used to wealthy people coming in and spending anything no questions asked. I would not recommend this shop to anyone!

Customer Service

Friendly but do not be decieved.

Similar Products Used: I know Bike Attack from Berlin, when I used to live in Germany, and I always loved the atmosphere and the way they handle customers. its not only to buy a bike or parts but to share the biking experience and get some knowledge and chat a bit.

When I was in LA early this year I found the same spirit there. They do not only sell bikes, they live bikes. That’s the difference.

Great shop for high end - lower end products. The owner Ericson is a biker at heart and he has his own downhill and cross country team. They hook you up with a good deal, just ask them. Very friendly people and nice hang out place. Service is killer, they fixed my problems with my cranks right away without charging me. That was very cool, try to get that from some other store.

Customer Service

They offer free lifetime service if you buy a bike there, which is real.

WTF happened??!! Once a great shop, now crap. Been a customer since the original shop opened. We are so lucky to have so many excellent, high end bike shops on the Westside, it's easy to avoid using this one.

Customer Service

BLOWS HARD.

Called the SM store recently, asked could I please speak to the owner or manager regarding a defective part. Also wanted to get some quantity pricing info on an item for our team.

The woman who answered the phone replied "You talk to me."
I replied: "Oh, hi, are you a manager or one of the owners?"
Woman at Bike Attack: "You talk to me."
I reply: "Ummm, okay, ummmm, what's you name? Are you a manager?"
Her reply: " YOU tell me who YOU are and you talk to ME."
My Reply: "Wow. I'm guessing you are not a manger, shall I call back later?"

The skank then hung-up the phone.

Let's see, what I learned: Bike Attack, hires a-holes, they don't really want your business. There are better stores in the area. Use them.

We are takin' our team to do biz elsewhere. There is just zero reason to have a bad attitude - It's bikes, it supposed to be fun, not ugly and nasty.

Relatively small shop with lots of cool stuff, from full-on Intense downhill rigs to cool looking beach cruisers. They have a good selection of parts. If they don't have what you're looking for in stock, they can order it.

Customer Service

Definitely the best part of the shop is how they treat their customers. Ericson's a super cool, mellow dude. He's a hardcore downhiller, so he definitely knows his $#it! His partner Andrew's a nice guy as well. Even if I don't need to buy anything for my ride, I always feel comfortable going in just to say hi and hang out.....something I can't say about any other shop in the area.

Ericson hooked me up with my new 5.5. I had a great experience with BA, and would highly recommend them to anybody out there.

They have a very good selection of all kind of bikes and nobody there tries to talk you into something more expensive than you need. Every time I went there I got a super deal and paid less than I actually planned.

Customer Service

Everybody there is very friendly and has a lot of knowledge about bikes.
They are very busy and popular but they still try to squeeze you into their tight service schedule!

I bought 2 bikes from them and I'm very happy with their free life time service that comes with every bike you buy there.

Overall, Bike Attack's a nice looking shop with lots of cool beach cruisers and a couple of higher end downhill and long-travel Intense bikes. Inventory is very limited, but just about anything can be ordered and received in a week or so.

Customer Service

Erickson is a mellow, Santa Monica local, hippie type dude from the 60's. He's all about downhill and his passion shows. Everybody in the shop is friendly and the dudes in the service dept.(Lawrence, especially) seem to know their stuff.

Cool place to drop by once and check out. Prices are very steep (above retail).....guess it comes with the high overhead. Definitely a good place to buy a beach cruiser, but I'd look elsewhere if you want better value on a high-end mountain bike.
