I do not agree with the other review. It's a nice looking shop, not sterile. The customer service is first rate, they have a bunch of new people working there and they are all super nice. I love the shop. Great service, great products and I ride a Specialized! I don't care if it's a Trek store. It's independently owned, If you go in you will probably see his daughter running around in the store. I hardly call that sterile or corporate. Great shop, by far one of the best I have been to.

i've been in a couple of times, and they had a knowledgeable mechanic there both times. he was helpful and answered questions

Customer Service

in my experience, these people were very nice. i was bringing in a bike i had bought there, and they did several things to it that i needed at no charge. on one occasion, my son was with me and he mentioned to them that he had just done some damage to his bike. he's from out of town and had never been there before. they told him to get his bike and they fixed it at no charge. i've bought some equipment from them and found them to be knowledgeable and happy to answer questions.

Lots of nice road bikes, some decent full suspension stuff. Apparrently not owned by Trek, but a former Trek insider. Not sure how much of that I believe, but that's the claim.

Customer Service

This is my second winter in Tucson and I came to this shop a few times last year. The only person in the building who could give me a straight answer to any kind of technical question was the mechanic - and on days when he wasn't there, they had some high-schooler tinkering behind the service counter. I made sure to come back and talk to the real mechanic again after 30 seconds with the kid.

My recent visits to this Trek store were my first since last winter. The odds and ends I bought work fine, and that's never been an issue here, but I only recognize one guy from when I was in town last winter, and it isn't my mechanic. I've been around enough bike shops to know that turnover happens, but the entire staff? This, on top of a technically clueless staff amounts to a big red flag for me.

Then there was the time that this disgruntled-looking guy behind the counter had a whad of chew in his mouth - just unprofessional, and gross.

The holier-than-thou attitude is more obvious here than it is at other shops, even at Fairwheel - and at least Fairwheel has more than one mechanic, and more than one brand.

Trek's bikes are really freaking expensive. You'd think that a "flagship" store like this would be required to hire experienced people for EVERY position if they expect people to make that kind of investment.

This place just seems to be more about money than anything else.
