Customer Service

This bike shop's name is very fitting ,they are slippery and they are pigs. The shop sold me a damaged bicycle for 1200.00 .I had to prepay because it was a special order. Upon delivery , the 2015 Cannondale Badboy 3 had two different wheel skewers and a damaged crank .The bike shop would not refund it ,and wouldnt exchange it. Their reasoning was that it was special ordered and that I will have to warranty the bike regardless of the damages accrued from shipping from the factory .SP promised to repair it but did nothing for three months of inquiry calls and emails. Slippery Pig's Eric (store owner) refered me to Sun Cyclery (Cannondale Authorized Dealer) because they did not want to deal with me or the warranty .The sales manager at Slippery Pig (Mike ) asked me what I thought I was going to get for 1000.00 when I complained about the wheel skewers not matching and the overall unhappiness with the purchase of what should be a brand new bicycle . I called Cannondale in CT and spoke with Pat at customer support ,he has stepped up and offered a replacement bicycle and will pay for the assembly.Pat informed me that a refund would have been up to the dealer (Slippery Pig Bikes) who has refused. Sun Cyclery is the shop of choice from now on lesson learned !

I really enjoy the vibe of this place, not crammed but your vision is filled with organized bike material everywhere you look, whether it be the 10k carbon bodies or great quality affordable specialized hardrocks and everything in between that. great selection of accessories like lights, tires, tubes, bars, gearing, stems, security, clothing, some common repair tools. You have the old school floyd quietly playing in the background while the technicians towards the back running their multiple point inspections on the bikes there working on, Its a very "homelike" environment but very professional, the two very friendly dogs just lounging around and wont mind being your companion as you make selections from all the available options they have to offer. great place and next door a great place to lounge out and get a bite to eat just in case you need more time to think about that 10k feather-lite carb your about to purchase.

Customer Service

Great as well, went in wanting to re-experience the bike world but also not in the budget of their fully raced out 5k stuntjumper bodies,,,tho thats what my attention is always on, but either way, being under 1000 on me they gladly pre-qualified what type of riding I was going to be doing what I'm willing to spend to get me in the correct affordable direction, had a short week of miscommunications and price differences, but got taken care of with the quickness and maintained original plans for my beautiful strong Cannondale with the accessories needed for my future rides and just in case I have minor tire/chain trouble in any situation. I was looking for more stuff but I had to give it rest so I could return in a few weeks on more parts. Eric, Mike the techs and rest of staff all very knowledgeable and humble to what they do share their information of what works in their experience to give you the best results to their capability.

Thanks to the staff I am absolutely very happy with the selection I made, anyone I cross wanting to get a new or used bike or even if just parts I will recommend them there, they also participate in biking events randomly throughout certain months and them being some of groups that provide foods and drinks at the events.

these guys just dont get it... if i spend 3,000 or 14.95 they should treat me the same everytime.. i really tried over the years to like this store. After todays encounter with a rude mechanic, my daughter summed it up pretty well. "Mom, these guys suck!"

Customer Service

condescending and very rude

Good inventory, good bike knowledge, BAD customer service. They are nice folks but they can best be described as collectively having Attention Deficit Disorder. My experience leads me to believe all of the negative reviews on here about the Pig.

Customer Service

Bad. I think their biggest problem is they have zero organization. My experience was just in trying to SHOP for a bike from them. I can't imagine what it'd be like to get repair work done.

I'm looking for a new mountain bike, so I went to Slippery Pig to find a bike to demo. They let me ride several around the shop to get a feel for what I wanted. That went ok, however I was treated to musical employees. One would spend 10 minutes with me or so and then wander off and then I'd have to stand around until another came by so I could ride another bike. I never felt like someone was taking me in hand and helping me, mostly like I was a bit in the way.

Despite all that it was still an OK experience so I went ahead and signed up to demo a bike at the end of the week (this was Wednesday). They took my information and said they'd put it on the demo bike and it'd be ready.

Fast forward to Friday; I show up at the shop, and no one has any record of me reserving the bike, which doesn't matter because its not even there - they rented it out. They said it'd be in later in the day and took down my name and number (again) and said they'd call me as soon as it was in. At this point I'd decided not to go with them. They must have read my mind, because they didn't even end up calling!

Not a good experience. Bad Service. Beware.

BAD CuStomer Service:
I asked that something else be done to my bike at the time I left it, it was written on my ticket order but not completed. I had to see that they removed the charge from my bill on top of it. And the promised delivery time was off by 3 days making the total time in shop for just about 1 week.
I would strongly recommend that anyone looking to invest in a new bike that wants good service to skip this place.

I went to this shop to see if I wanted to do business with them on a custom build mountain bike, they are one of the few Santa Cruz dealers in my area. Honestly they did not win over my business. Besides the fact that they didn’t really seem interested in selling me a 26” mtb, I find out now, after taking my bike to another shop that the Slippery Pig service people failed to replace a damaged (bent) spoke, during a tune-up and repair. This led to the wheel being permanently damaged beyond repair only one month later. I know better now and if I was to do it all over again, I would question not replacing a bent spoke. But at the time I thought they knew what they were doing and it was ok. This is not acceptable. I would have gladly paid for the proper fix when I first brought it in.
