I am really not the kind of person that writes reviews but on this occasion I thought it would help other cyclists to make their own decision about where to shop in the Oxfordshire/Gloucestershire area. I have gone to Noahs a few times over the years and had some positive experiences in the past but my recent visit was very disappointing. What used to be a good quality edgy choice of mountain bikes has deteriorated into the usual pop-out Specialized/Cannondale selection of overpriced rubbish that is in every bike shop around. These are not hand made bikes but commercial and lacking in style and Noahs really need to buck up their ideas if they think people are likely to travel for the selection on offer.

They did not have my size in stock of the couple of bikes that rose above the rest and decent discounts were few and far between. My advice is find a shop that sells better brands and not one that has sold out to the big faceless manufacturers. There are tons of better brands out there and some shops in easy travelling distance that fit the bill.

The place was also fairly scruffy and very cold in the showroom, not inviting at all. The young guy behind the till was helpful however so at least there was something good to say about it. Hope this review has been helpful to someone.

Sorry Noahs but you have let me down too many times! You have an awful attitude to customers and I will NEVER be going there again - if you say a bike is going to be built, build it. Don't sell it to another customer, don't try and flog me a more expensive one - and don't promise a test track.... laughable, it a pathetic 100m next to the road. Its a path, a short path.

Poor service. I emailed ahead to ask about availability and price. An offer came up when I did a web search of 10% back in goods when you bought a particular bike but when I emailed about this I told the offer no longer applied. I still went ahead and bought the bike online . They took the money, sent me an email to say the order was being processed but then an hour later sent me another email saying they had cancelled my order as they wouldn't get stock in for two weeks, that they had refunded nmy money but that it probably wouldn't go back in to my account for up to ten days. I felt very let down.
