I got scammed, what can I do about it? / Where can I report these scams?

To our Mtbr and RoadbikeREVIEW Classifieds Community,

If you've been the unfortunate victim of a scam, there are a couple of things you can do.

1.) Report the incident. You can file a complaint at the Internet Fraud Complaint Center website here:

http://www.ic3.gov/

You may also want to report the incident to your local authorities. Provide them with all the information and details you can. Keep copies of all transactions/emails/phone numbers...etc.

2.) You can report it to the U.S. Postal Service at:

US Postal Service
International Operations Support Fraud Supervisor
2 Gateway Center, Ninth Floor
Newark, N.J. 07175-0001

3.) Let other online Classifieds users know about this person in the Good Trader/Bad Trader Forum:

http://forums.roadbikereview.com/forumdisplay.php?f=56
Please be as informative and detailed as possible.

4.) You can send a letter to the US Secret Service at:

US Secret Service
Financial Crimes Division
950 H St.
N.W. Washington D.C. 20223

5.) If the scammer still has an ad up in our Classifieds, please email us and tell us which ad it is: classifieds2@mtbreview.com

Be informed, beware, and be smart.

As always, thank you for your support and be cautious.
