Sage Wheels

Freeride/downhill wheels at 2172g per set. The extruded rim is 24mm wide (inside width) and welded. The inner edge of the rim is not machined away, leaving an incredibly strong i-beam ridge. This feature combined with the 24mm width and beefed up hubs gives the wheelset extra durability for freeride use. There are no holes drilled through the rim making it naturally tubeless and increasing the strength and stiffness tremendously. There are 24 straight-gauge, double butted 2.0 "twinpair" spokes.
The pawl system uses 6 oversized pawls with alternating 3-pawl engagement, yielding 48 clicks per revolution for instant engagement (7.5 degree maximum free-run before engagement). Each wheel is hand-built in the USA.
