Gravitydropper was introduced in 2003. We specialize in mechanical “On the fly” adjustable height seatposts. We manufacture, and assemble our high quality, high performance product in-house located in Polson, Montana. USA. We credit our success to a great, dependable product and strive to offer incredible customer service.
We make 3 different versions. Descender, Gravitydropper classic and the Gravitydropper Turbo
They are available in 3 different heights. A person can order a 2 inch or a 3 inch , or a 4 inch drop.
They come in a standard up/ down or with a multi-position (3 positions) We believe that knowing where you are at is more important than having an infinite number of positions
All the post have a locked feel. When your post is in the up position, it will not change. Same with the down position, the post will only raise up when you activate it.
The shorter seatposts weigh even less than the longer ones
We offer lengths from 275- 425mm long.
They come in 27.2 diameter. We offer shims for larger sizes
The post is mechanical which means it just uses a spring that has a rating of 10 million cycles. There is no air, or pumping, no seals to leak or oil to blow out. This means that it is very easy to take the inside tube out and clean. This takes 30 seconds to perform.
When the post slides up and down. Only plastic touches aluminum. This is an incredible feature for two reasons. 1) The post wears the plastic first so if you ever develop side to side wiggle, just put new plastic shims in and it is just like brand new. 2) very easy and cheap to install the new plastic shims. All our parts are cnc machined out of aluminum, most of it 7075 t-6 aluminum.
Because we offer so many lengths and drops, each post is made to fit you the way you ride and the type of bike you have.
