Potawatomi State Park - Trail, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin

Potawatomi State Park - Trail, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin

DESCRIPTION

Four loops (green, blue, black, red -- easy to hard) that are not very technical, but enough up and down to make it fun. You can really get going fast and it has enough rocks and roots to keep you on your toes. Recently renovated the red loop so that it is long enough to make it worthwhile. $3 trail pass ($10 annual).

I entered the trail description so I won't rewrite it... Nothing technical, but a fun workout (scenic, always cool--as in temperature). Only one trail is real bumpy (grassy bumps) so you can get going real fast (so fast that you don't ever have to really climb much). They're all loops w/ gradual turns and the downhills are straight and smooth begging you to step on the gas!

Customer Service

I usually just run multiple laps starting w/ the out loop and working my way in doing all 4 loops... and repeat if you can't stop. Also stop by the lookout tower for a nice view of Sturgeon Bay, Sawyer Harbor, and Green Bay (far side of the red loop).

Peninsula State Park (pretty much the same up the Green Bay coast, but at least has one fun minor technical section--still very fast though).
