A stated in other reviews, not a lot of trail but some good climbs (especially up the ski hill) and fun, twisty singletrack. The nice thing is that there is no fee. The bad is that it is far away from everything. But what has really turned me off to this trail is that they do not open it until well into summer. It is a county park so there is no website posting of when it is open. I used to ride this trail more past years, but the late opening was the final straw. If you are in the area, hit it. But, don't drive too far for it. An alternative is high Cliff, but that too has limited trails.

go there to camp with the family (nice campground)and bring your bike - if the trails are open, then take a spin. Watch for the lake flies when in season.

I've done several of the WORS races, and Calumet Co. is my favorite site. While it doesn't offer a huge amount of single track, what is offered is certainly challenging, especially at race speed. Most challenging, though, are the climbs and decents, some of which are rocky single track. While the course is relatively short, the arobic level of difficulty makes the 5 (or so) miles seem much longer! The course offers an excellent assortment of XC riding. I recommend it for both mellow riders and those who race. It is best, however, for the latter (or those wanting to push themselves).

Not really long, but does have a little of everything. Long intermediate climbs, short steep climbs, fast down hills, some technical (but I wouldn't come to this trail if you're looking for a techncal ride), and fast runs. It's probably the best in the fox valley area. Good for training.

Start at the lodge and go right to the first climb.

This is a small county park which makes for a short ride. Its positioned on the side of a cliff next to Lake Winnebago, so your either going up or down and these aren't gradual climbs. Calumet is for intermediate riders and up. It offers a little dual salom and a short ski hill for downhilling. The climbs may be a little tiresome but the ride down the slopes are usually worth it. This trail is not for those who haven't riden for awhile or is out of shape.Theirs nothing seriously challenging but some of the downhills are somewhat steep. I seriously don't know why WORS puts on a race here, seeing as to how short the course is. But unless you want to drive to Green Bay it will sufice for a short afternoon. If you want to stretch out your ride their is a connecter trail along the North end of the park next to the lake that leads to High Cliff State Park.

Customer Service

Its to small a trail system to recommend a specific route.

I really love this trail. It has a lot of difficult uphills and a couple of nice downhills. The staight away on top is great for really getting some speed going! It also has a little bit of technical single track, which I really enjoy. Although the course is really short, it gives one a really good work-out if 3 or 4 laps are done. This is one of the best trails to train on for other races!
