Even after the previous renovations from "The Rock", only about a mile of the trail was removed. This is by far my favorite trail in Miliwaukee County. It's fun, easy, and best of all it's free. To get a decent workout you have to do about 4+ laps of the 3.3 mile loop but each lap is just as fun as the last. The whole trail is pristine singletrack and is always well kept. The only negative of this trail is it takes several days to dry after a decent rain but thats it.

Customer Service

Park in Whitnal Park golf course parking lot and cross 92nd street where you'll find a gated fence and a path on the side that leads to the top of the ski hill ride along the top of hill until you find the trail head. The trail is a singletrack loop so ride until you're tired.

Only been on it once, but I will be a frequent visited. Fun, twisty, easy. Nice to have this so close to town. It's not epic, it's a short fun trail to learn how to ride or keep in shape and do a few laps.

This place has a little of everything from long climbs, tight turns, and muddy river romps.

Customer Service

Start by going up the ski hill on the East side, ride down the front side "back and forth" path. Then drop into the woods for some tight turns and a few "whoops," after that flows down near the river and can get really muddy, only recommend when dry. Follow up with more of the Alpha trail and finish with the long climb back up to the top.

Great little trail. All one-way with a easy and hard option on the loop. Also has a second trial to Crystal Ridge Ski Hill for some extra mileage. Not too tecnical, but it's nice to have a solid singletrack trail so close Milwaukee without having to travel to the Kettle. Also, when I've been there,it's never really been crowded.

Have ridden this trail since opened and Crystal Ridge / previous incarnates of trails in the same locale since a'96 or earlier. The technical challenge of these trails is the tightness of the trail and the abrupt changes in direction and short steep ups. The trail is very "flowy" one minute and then slower with more care needed to steer through the next.

Customer Service

Park as noted abouve. Find trail head and follow the signs. Add Crystal Ridge ski hill trails when dry.
