Anvil Trails - Trail, Eagle River, Wisconsin

Anvil Trails - Trail, Eagle River, Wisconsin

DESCRIPTION

Trails are mostly double track. Enough rocks and roots to keep things interesting, but the real test will be on your cardiovascular system. Lots of hills, some very steep. Great views. Trail hooks up with Nicolet North and Hidden Lakes Trails.

I was overall disappointed with this trail. I am mainly a single track rider and was hoping to see a more technical track. This is all double track. There are a few really fast, scary downhills, and some extremely tough uphills, but overall it was kinda boring. If you are looking for exercise this trail will work great for you. But if you are looking for a technically challenging course spend your time elsewhere.

Customer Service

Forgot the name of the route, but the one labeled "Most Difficult" is the only one that had some really fast, straight downhills and challenging uphills.

This trail was absolute torture for my heart and lungs. I'm in good shape and I was really getting my butt handed to me by the hills. Many long climbs, with fun descents... but as soon as you go down you are going up again! Devils Run has some pretty steep hills, a little too steep for me in a couple spots. Not very technical but a fun workout, probably good for some training along with the crazy technical trails at Raven. Well mapped, impossible to get lost.

Customer Service

Check out Devil's Run for a laugh. Lake loop was my favorite, and Nine mile was fun with some great scenery.
