The trail is mainly flat so you can go pretty fast. Great for beginners or just someone who wants to ride a long distance and commune with nature and de-stress. Lots of wildlife to see, generally not very crowded either. People you meet are generally friendly. Very beautiful scenery, I love this trail!

I usually start in Waukesha , at the beginning go till I can't ride any further, which today was Jefferson. Next time I'll start in Jefferson and go to deerfield.

A nice rails-to-trails cruise across Southern WI; off the beaten path in a rapidly growing area. The section from Dousman to Sullivan is a riparian oasis with lots of wildlife: cranes, mink, deer, bass, turtles, snakes. Some parts shaded but mostly full sun.
