Paradise Lake Trails - Trail, Woodinville, Washington

Paradise Lake Trails - Trail, Woodinville, Washington

DESCRIPTION

This is my favorite trail. it has been there since i first starting riding in 92. i helped build up a few trails on it. it has cool double track. fire roads, and some of the best single track i have ever ridden. and from what i understand there are no built stunts all over it. i will check it out tomorrow. but be good to the trail. MX bikes have trashed some parts and we got to keep this trail purdy.

This trail has recently reopened thanks to the work of the Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance, and today I was able to get out there for the first time. Overall the trails are fairly twisty with lots of roots, similar to portions of Tolt or Lake Sawyer. The area is mildly rolling, so no real climbs or downhills to speak of. There's three or four small but well built log rides scatterred throughout the place, but no woodwork or jumps of any sort. One nice thing about the trail system is that it's VERY well marked, each intersection is given a WayPoint number which corresponds to the map you can download here:

http://evergreenmtb.org/wiki/index.php?title=Trail:Paradise_Valley

The markings are important as some trails here are off use to bikes, and only for hiking or horses. There's also one section on the map marked "mountain bike park", though to be honest I have no idea why it's called that as it's basically just more twisty tight single track like the rest of the place.

Overall maybe a fun place to build up your slower speed skills, but definitely not the place to go for flowy or fast single track. I could see this being popular with the single-speeders.

Customer Service

It's a smaller system and well marked, so any trail you follow will more or less let you string together some loops without a chance of getting lost. I was able to ride all of the bike trails in under two hours. There's a lot of trail crammed into the area they had to work with, I would have preferred to see some more flowy sections and less of the endless little loops.

I just recieved hate mail for putting this trail on here. apparently it is a secret and sacred trail top this guy. sorry but i feel that everyone has the right to know where trails are. it gives you variety and the chance to ride with and meet new people. i do however understand his concern for over crowding and destruction of the trails. i am out there alot more than once a week riding it and i do make an effort to be courteous of other riders whether they be mtn bikers, horse riders or MX, or even the occasional hiker. so for the man who wrote me sorry for ruining your fun. i just want everyone to have a chance at a different trail. you know a change form st edwards park. anywho if you want better directions and hints on routes email me i will help you out.

To begin with I would like to respond the jerk that got so upset with Brian. Yes this is private land that everyone is riding on. How do I know this? I have spoken with friends of the owner about the land before. I also have lived right next to the trails for the past 12 or so years. The owners don't mind mtn bikers, MX riders and horses back in the area. What they do mind is punk kids going back drinking around bon fires. So if you are riding back there take a minute and pick up some of the trash left by the punks.
As far as the trails go, they are awesome. Sadly enough I do not have as much time to ride them anymore. I keep finding new trails every so often. There are some really cool technical sections and some fun stuff set up by the MX guys. By the way there are lots of MX riders on the trails at different times so watch out for them. I have never had any trouble with them or anybody else using the trails.
This is a great trail for everybody. Let's not have anybody ruin it, so please ride respectfully

This ride is not deserving of a 5 tire ride. The trails are 90% MX, have nasty swamp ponds, and half of the property has been clear cut.
I just hope that the folks who gave this the highest rating stay there and don't clog up the real rides in the NW.

killer trails , expert level riders only , big and lots of log crossings , life endangering obstacals , room for more trails but the mottos will ride em if they can . all in all . fairly cool .

Customer Service

i like to start from the houseing development . then ride up the MX trail , wich used to be killer single track till the MXrs found it . then to the left down the secret trail . the entrance is nicely hidden to keep out the rut digging mottos , cairy your bike through this area and DONT let the mottos or horses see ya go back ther or the whole thing will be ruind
