Riverside Park - Trail, Spokane, Washington

Riverside Park - Trail, Spokane, Washington

DESCRIPTION

The Park has just about everything any type of rider would like from hammerhead to the $100 Wallmart bike recreational rider. Loops can go anywhere from 6 miles to over 30 depending on routes taken. The best part is as long as you know where the river is at and where the cliffs are at you can't get lost so go explore.

Just rode this area today and was impressed. Spokane doesn't have a ton of good riding, but you can make a couple hour ride out of this area without going over the same trail twice.

In the summer and early fall I probalby ride the riverside state park trails 2 to 3 times a week! Liots of variety, but most isn't that technical and good for a beginners to mid level riders. Lots of single double track, some of teh best riding is near bowl and pitcher along the river and north of 7 mile road.

Customer Service

either from the wilbur trailhead near 7 mile or bowl and pitcher head to the center of the park and ride the army jeep trails to the west (don't worry no tanks here!)This is an aread you kind of want to explore since there are alot of criss crossing trails and roads. As long as you head back east you cannot goet lost as you will end up back at the river or teh centennioal trial. Happy riding!

Lived in Spokane for 8+ years and rode Riverside at least once a week. By far my favorite trail system in Spokane because of the variety. Not feeling strong, stay on the flats. Want some technical, ride the river or up in the hills. The trails rocked before the fire, and I'm sure they are getting good again.

Customer Service

My fav was always the river route because of the variety. (mild) Downhill, rocks, marshy and flat runs all in a short ride. One hour out and back. Perfect for after work.

This is my favorite ride! Every time you ride it you get something different.

Customer Service

There is one particular run that I hear people talk about. From the parking area at the head of the Centennial trail (riverside parkway)
Head South on the Centennial trail for maybe 50 yards and you will find a small downhill, take that, im not sure of the trail number, but you will find a rewarding ride.

This is some awesome riding and really convienent, especially for those who live on the air force base. Tons of trails with numerous options. All the trails can be linked back up with each other eventually. Don't forget to wonder up to the top or over to the "400's", where it becomes extremely technical and lots of climbing. But what goes up, gets to come down... fast!! For a good long challenging ride, follow the trail 25 markers, but be ready for a good workout. There is something for everyone here.

I am a western washington rider. I came here for a week and rode with my uncle and his friends. This place is great. Get a map and enjoy the extensive network of trails. Two base trails should be the one from 7 mile to the bridge off dwnrvr. blvd; and the centennial trail from 7 mile to the college.

Customer Service

The rock garden across from deep creek. The gulleys down from downriver blvd. to the poop plant.

You can take your girlfriend who doesn't ride to
Riverside and she won't hate you or you can challenge
your scree and rock riding skills. Trail varies
from smooth hard pack single track, to rocks, to
fast double track. A post ride swim is a bonus.
Also, excellent technical new single track on the
East side of river from bowl and pitcher headed
South.

Customer Service

Can start at bowl and pitcher. Head across bridge
and head to the right. Trails to the left I believe
are still closed to mtn bikes. Fun to start at
Peoples Park in Peaceful Valley. Park there, go right
on Riverside head up hill and watch for single track
on your right. Adds miles. Watch for poison oak!

Probably the biggest network of trails in the Spokane area. Deep Creek is my favorite area. Ride down trail #17 for a rocky descent or fly down trail #16 at insane speeds. Lesser known parts of Riverside include singletrack between SFCC and the equestrian area, trails outside the South side of the ORV, and a short singletrack loop behind the Sundance Golf course.

Customer Service

Start at the dirt Deep Creek parking lot or the ORV if you don't want to pay the stupid parking fee. Ride anywhere.
