DESCRIPTION

Take trail from state park up 1/2 mile trail to area logged several years ago. This has outstanding views of hood canal and Olympics
from Mt Townsend to Cushman. This is panoramic!
Outstanding. I live here and cant get over how beautiful this is. Lots of bear. Really. Also racoons, deer, yada yada yada. Keep going on trail/road to forests, clearings, streams, with brookies etc. During the week your alone. Love it. On a hot August day you may see someone. Not many. Still very primitive. Enjoy. I'm 61 and it takes about three hours to wear my a.. out. Stay on main road and you will eventually come out at Mason Lake which is in a generally south-east direction. Take water.
