Bald Ridge - TRAIL

Bald Ridge - Trail, Bridgewater, Virginia

Incredible fast, rolling, off-camber 3-4 mile downhill trail traversing down mountain ending up at Bradley Pond. (Watch out for the Beaver!)This stuff was sweet and worth the long climb! Most of it is on pine needles and super smooth and we were going like 25 mph through wooded terrain. Trees were whipping by jusy missing our heads! Be careful as it is a LONG way to the hospital! Momentum is awesome on this downhill section! You could shuttle up to Breastworks and cut out long road up and pick up cars afterwards. We did 20 mile loop from camp and it took about 3 hours with several flats and mechanicals... As we did it there were 2 long ups and 2 long downs!!

The area you guys are referring to is actually Brayley pond. This is more acurrately located close to Staunton, VA. which is a bit south of Bridgewater. One of my regular rides and a local favorite. Glad you guys enjoyed the trails!

I will keep this short and sweet as I'm not much of a writer. I went on the trip with the first poster(lou). The trails were amazing. Super fast and rolling with a lot of rhythm type sections. Depending on your ability, you can take it easy and enjoy yourself, or point, shoot and bomb the downhill sections. The ups were long and tough but well worth it. Don't want to scare you but at one point, I wanted to turn back. Good thing I didn't, because the second downhill section (Bald Ridge Trail) was awesome. This place is definitely worth taking a trip too. Paul great job with the map!!!!!!! bzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
