Stevens Block - TRAIL

Stevens Block - Trail, Starksboro, Vermont

Nice roads in, which lead to single track as yet unexplored fully by me. Appears to lead somewhere. Awesome terrain and it is State land. I spoke to the forester who manages it and he appeared real happy to have existing log roads kept open for skiing and biking. Weeds are growning and a few more riders would beat them back. Some horse traffic on the roads which is ok because the road beds are solid and well drained.

This is a strange place. Can you here the banjos in the distance? I found a road that leads to a muddy and never ending hill. The weeds get deeper and deeper. I heard gun shots and chain saws the whole time but never saw anyone. There was someone pounding on something in the distance who occationaly cursed loud enough for me to here. No sign of a fat tire track anywhere. I guess if you like this sort of thing this is a great area. I like to ride and I did more walkng

I can't cause I got lost in a sea of nettles. Then the black flies sucked my blood and I about died

If it's state land it's probably not legal.
