A pretty nice trail system with lots of hidden trails off the main path. Get some great speed on the steep graveled downhills but allow yourself time to stop because there is no run out before the lake. Watch out after it rains. The rocks become very very slippery. Had my Bike Come out from under me a few times.

Customer Service

Take the path at the end of the parking lot all the way till you hit the gravel path. Then Climb the hill and look for nice singletrack on your way up.

Nice short steep climbs, short very technical descents. Great views of the lake. This is a very short trail but it is so much fun that you will want to ride it again and again

Only punks ride the trails when they are still completely wet from heavy winter snows. Go back to Portland, John and take your negative vibe with you. Shelburne Bay Park is beautiful, the trails are short and sweet, perfect for a lunch break or after work ride. If you don't like'em, don't ride'em. You're just ruining them for the rest of us by slopping through the spring mud with your rad, bad ass bike.

Despite the negative vibe from past reviewer's, this is a short but sweet ride with lots of fun root systems and launching points for good air. Good rocks throughout, but you have to watch out for peds with dogs. Enjoy!

Customer Service

Take the first right past the Automaster heading south on Rte 7. (Bay road) You'll go under a railroad overpass and about half a klick on the right you'll see the entrance to the trail system (just past the access). Right across from the access is another great trail that goes through a naturalist area along the la Platte river that's a great ride.

Ouch. I rode it from the parking lot and it was pretty tough. Uphill, lots of roots and rocks. I got my front wheel stuck between a couple of roots and did and endo. Nothing broken but I've got a couple of nice big bruises. Maybe I'm not as young as I used to be.
Some parts of the trail are pretty steep. Definately not for beginners. I had a hard time climbing some of the hills on foot. Go with a friend. I didn't see anyone else out there. If you get hurt you might end up feeding the racoons.
It get's very muddy very easily. It is easier to ride when dry. The rocks are more slippery than the mud.
