Holy crap. This trail is by far the most terrifying and difficult trail I have ever witnessed much less ridden! This is coming from a guy who spends his summers riding a Pro GRT course at a bike park. I cannot believe people can clean this trail!

Customer Service

Go up Mesa Road, turn right on the first dirt road at the top, then ride until you see a gate, proceed and drop in on the right.

This trail is pretty technical but can be ridden even my intermediate level riders. I've ridden this trail on a hardtail before but even with a full suspension bike I still have to walk a couple parts. The trail has some very sketchy exposure in some parts but it's not as bad as it was years ago. The trail has been tamed down a little by generous volunteers but the heavy rain in the past couple months has eroded it very badly and could use a lot of work. All in all this is a very fun and technical trail that I'd recommend to anybody with decent skill on a bike and if you're really good and have a lot of balls try out King Kong which splits off Flying Monkey about 2/3 of the way down the trail.

Most insane trail I have ever hiked down.. Great for DHers with solid, I mean solid skillz, its on the edge, the whole trail, many crazy line options, you wont be bored, most likely schooled.. Check out bikerag.com for pics and a sketched map - GPS died on me, probably a sign from above.. Dont even bother with this place unless you and everyone your riding with has good judgement..

Customer Service

Down.. As stated, any way you can get down alive, I slid on my but for a couple sections.. REally.. And I dont even suck..

The above reviews are right on. This will open your eyes as to 'what is hard'. Do wear a full face helmet. Even Bender (our guide) wore his. Wear as much body armor as you can afford.

Customer Service

There are other lines along the route. King Kong is one of them. Be prepared to huck, as its part of the trail. Even the tame version of this goes beyond the technical difficulty rating in mtbr.

There is a new trail near Flying Monkey. Very hard to find, but it's a little more tame than the monkey. Ask Bender in Virgin to guide you on this brand new trail (I think I was the 9th one to ride it)... it went in late Jan 04.

Do you think you're hardcore extreme racer guy ? Ride this thing called a trail and ask yourself : How good am I ?? Nothing but large rocks , steep drop offs and 100-200 foot drops on the right side of the trail if you mess up . Good Luck !

Customer Service

Any possible way you can make it down without dying !

This is for sure the most technically challenging trail I have ridden to date. Super fun and super scary. If you are into extreme tecnical downhill rides I would most definately suggest you hit this. Very dangerous, very difficult, and shuttling is required. There is a fun little play area at the bottom - if you make it down in one peice. The props for the constructon of this trail (if you want to call this a trail!) go to Dean of Bike Zion and Bender. This trail will open your eyes to what can be ridden on a mountainbike.....if you have the BALLS!! Thanks again Tim for showing me the light!

Customer Service

I don't know what the road is called so go to Bike Zion and ask Tim or Dean how to get here.

This is the most extreme, downhill/freeride trail I've ridden. Rock Drops, steep steep steep. WEAR BODY ARMOR!!!

Customer Service

Top of Smith Mesa, follow the rim until you find the trail. Thats the best I can say, stop into a shop (Red Rock, Bike Zion) and try to ride with someone who has ridden it.

This trail is by far the most technical trail I've ridden. Period. It is pure evil, if you ask me. I thought I was good, now I don't know what to call myself, and I was taking the wussy lines! Seriously, anyone that is craving a challenge here it is, cause this trail is just impossible. It can be a little frustrating sometimes though, at least for me, cause I had to dab so freakin much. Oh well, maybe I'll eventually ride the whole thing. Wear lots of body armor, and don't think your bike will come out unscathed.

Customer Service

top to bottom works pretty well; I suggest going with somebody who knows the way, since there's a maze of fireroads before and after the trail
