Zen - Trail, St George, Utah

Zen - Trail, St George, Utah

DESCRIPTION

This is a highly technical, hard workout. It continually climbs into slickrock hills. Gooseberry is easier. The riding here is amazing, beautiful Mohave desert. Ride early in the year, elevation only about 2500'.
If you're a great rider, come here. Rocks, rocks and dirt, expect to sweat from the steep grades. Didn't see a soul on the trail but it's 5 stars. The distace is hard riding all the way.

fun xc trail...starts out with a climb up a dirt road then turns into some singletrack, the climb and top sections have a couple technical spots...From the top down its flowy singletrack with patches of slickrock

there are some cool rock formations up top that you get to pedal through, also some nice views, worth checking out if you're in the area

Customer Service

up fireroad to top....towards bottom cut left instead of riding all the way down to the dirt road... stay on slickrock...look for cairn's marking trail

Trail starts off with a steep Fire road climb which is directly to the point and slowly becomes smaller till it turns into Singleteack. Things stay interesting with short ups and downs and technical areas till you reach the top where you are treated with an awesome fast flowly descent on tight singletrack with they scattard rocks here and there. this is as all-mountain as it gets baby! Must do while vising St. George

counter clockwise. Watch for sT at the bottom after the steep down and switchback around a large rock. Its down the wash and starts where the fence begins next to a rock down the wash a 100 yards.

This trail is a good mix of SW Utah trail types. It has a healthy dose of technical riding, including significant slickrock portions, but mixed in with some relative fast and flowy sections with opportunities for air. Zen is well engineered, not too wide (please help keep it that way!) and has fantastic views to boot.

Starts off with a moderate fireroad climb which becomes doubletrack and then singletrack. Some rather slabby, technical climbing followed by up and down ridge riding and finally a relatively swoopy descent with some tech thrown in as well.

Definitely a recommended ride.
