Dose any one know if the one behind the softball field are still there? Every time I go I can only find the really short ones.
Every now an then as I'm leaving I see some mtb riders pulling in an just wondering if there is any longer or better trails I don't know about?

This was the first time that I have ridden this trail. The woops behind the softball fields are tons of fun. Make sure that you check them out. The rest of the trail is single track with about two miles of over grown fire roads. Someone said that there is 8 miles of trails out there, but I could only find 7. This could be a really cool trail if it was ridden more, so that they over grown fire road could get worn into a single track. In other words, it was a fun trail and I plan on riding it a lot more. So if you see a yankee out there looking out of place on a litespeed, stop and say hi. Chances are that its probably me. Oh, everyone can ride this trail. If you are unsure of yourself, stay off the woops, and take your time.

Customer Service

Not really sure, just make sure that you go over the bridge off the American Trail, and also vist the softball fields. There are some fun woops back there.

About 2-3 miles of fast singletrack. Mostly quick ups & downs. Small bridges at the base of the drops make it interesting. If you start at the entrance by tthe open field the trail goes straight for about 100yrds then either continues straight or you can hit a small loop by crossing the bridge to the left then going either right or left. Should you go straight the trail flattens out for another 100yrds or so then hits a few tricky hills (ups, dwns, drops whatever ) the roots keep you on your toes. Once you get to the end of the first section by the park to the left(horse shoe pits) continue straight. Stay left by the canal as you hit the tree line look left an entrance is there. This is the fun stuff straight up whooo whee. Don't get over excited but for the area this is it. It has much potential if more people were to ride it. still can't find all the trail send me an e-mail, I'm always lookin to ride. This ride gets the 4 stars just because it's the funnest in the area. This ride is great for anyone just starting out or the rider lookin for a cool ride.
There are water fountains in the park.
I-10 in vidor.

No day use fee, you can't beat that. Over the big bridge across the bayou are some fire roads that you can jam pretty hard, not much technical, but lots of trail to ride fast. Add a foot bridge on the low spots just for fun and it makes for a good workout trail. Lots of wildlife, I saw deer, wild turkeys and the biggest rabbit you've even seen; great scenery. But what makes this park are the moguls behind the horseshoe pits. Not very long, but very technical for this area; beginners beware, get a little experience first. Pretty decent overall, something for everyone.

Customer Service

Take the bridge over the bayou you'll find several miles of fireroads and single track offshoots. Also hit the moguls behind the horseshoe pits.

I have grown up running cross country at Claiborne Park for my high school, and at least once every month some friends and I would attack Claiborne's trails with our bikes. The trails are extremely easy, so it's a good place to bring the family. If you consider yourself a competative mountain biker, don't get to excited about these trails, they don't offer much of a challenge and are extremely flat. Trails are not marked, but this is no problem considering the lack there of.

Customer Service

None, just have fun
